Wedding Part 1

So today is our 1 month Anniversary! I can't believe it has already been a month, time flies by so fast. I figured it was about time to post something about the wedding. So today It'll be the ceremony and I'll do another one soon about the reception.
My day started at 4:30 AM because I couldn't sleep. I got to the church at 7:30 and Carrie got to work on my hair and makeup.

I was finally ready to go about a half hour early. Can I just say that was the longest 30 minutes of my life. I am so glad that I chose to do it in the morning because I would have been going crazy all day waiting.
My dad walked back to get me and I just started to cry, it was finally here, all the waiting and planning and now it was happening. I pulled myself together as I walked with my dad toward the sanctuary. As soon as I walked through the doors and saw Joe and completely lost it.

The ceremony was absolutely beautiful. I don't remember everything that was said and I am so glad we have a recording of it so we can go back and remember exactly what we vowed to each other. Our pastor is a great friend and I couldn't have let anyone else do it for us.
Part of our ceremony was the lighting of a unity candle. Both of our mothers lit a smaller candle and together we took our candles and lit a bigger one representing the uniting of our two families. As we were lighting the candle another great friend and the worship pastor at our church sang the song that he wrote to propose his wife.
We exchanged rings and then the kiss ♥

(Love Scott's face in this picture!)

Finally Married!!

After the ceremony we had a luncheon for everyone and just talked and mingled.

It was exactly what I had pictured and everything turned out perfectly.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported us!

At one point last year we talked about doing our wedding today. So glad we changed it because I would be super upset by this stupid rain. Only 20 more days til I marry my best friend and the love of my life ♥

It's June already!!

We are now at 31 days until we get married!! June is a very busy month for us, but I still feel like it's going to go so slow.

Just a couple things:
1) The weather in Park City, is getting better and better each day. We are now getting into the sweet spot of the year, the time that helps us get through the winter.

2) Jessica ran her first 5k yesterday! She did awesome and it actually ended up being a little longer than the 3.1 miles it was supposed to be.

3) The longer days are sweet! From 5:30 until it got dark, we were able to g
rill and then walk to the park, play with the kids and walk back.

4) While at the park we were able to build some sand castles in the sand volleyball courts

Like I said, June is a very busy month for us. A wedding for a close friend, Wasatch Back Relay for me (Joe), PCHS basketball team camp, and T-Ball for Braxton. We will try to post on here more often.

God bless,
Joe

Jazz Game!

Sunday was Joe's birthday and game 4 of Jazz vs. Nuggets playoff series. We had been scouring for tickets all week but they were all so expensive. So Sunday came and we were headed to my families house and Caleb called and asked if we would like to go to the game with him. Yay! We were so excited so we went and ate dinner with my family and left the kids with my mom. When we got to will-call to pick up our tickets someone had already signed for them, the lady says it happens a lot during the playoffs because of the craziness. Caleb mentioned that it was Joe's birthday and when she came back with replacement tickets she gave us lower bowl, 2oth row center court tickets! (our original ones were like 14th row upper bowl) They were the best seats I've ever had at a Jazz game and it was so awesome! The game was so much fun, I love the atmosphere of playoff games!

Golf!

One of the best things about this warm weather is golf courses opening up! I got into golf a few years ago and with the help of Joe it has turned into one of my favorite sports. I only had the chance to go a few times last year because of work, school, kids etc and just used some of Joe's old clubs but they were too heavy for me, so we finally decided to get my own set of clubs. We also decided to get Joe some new irons for his birthday. We both regret not learning to play sooner and since Braxton loves golf (he even loves to watch it) we got him some kids clubs. They are so cute and will be tons of fun.

We went to the driving range on Friday and Saturday and then were able to get our first round in on Sunday. It was sooo nice! The new clubs made a huge difference. I played so much better. Golf can be really frustrating though. You can hit really well on the range and in your mind think you can go pro haha and then hit the course and not get any good shots. Neither of us played great but still had a great time. We even got a little sunburn. Here is the only picture we took the whole day. I forgot about the camera til we were done.

Love Apple!

My lock button on my iPhone was kind of broken, the phone still worked great, fully functional but it was really difficult to lock. Yesterday I took it into the Apple store and they took one look at it and replaced it on the spot, no questions asked. This is why I love Apple. They have great products and if you happen to have a problem they take care of it right away. I love my phone and my laptop and could never go back to a PC.
P.S. Played with the iPad while I was there. It is awesome! Now Joe and I really want one..
